Paper making workshop

A workshop just for the adults, come and learn traditional techniques used for making paper and get hands on creating your own brand new paper, all made from recycled materials! Pippa is a traditional paper maker bringing paper making back to the old paper mill in Hayfield, and is now bringing her expertise to Milestone Studio for you to play with paper! We'll also look at adding natural items to our paper, such as pressed flowers and petals, and using different coloured paper pulps to create colourful paper. All materials are provided, if you'd like to bring any scrap paper that's heading for the recycling bin then please do so. Equally, if you have any pressed flowers or petals, confetti, or any other items that you'd like to try adding to your paper please do feel free to bring these too. Paper can take a while to dry, and I'm pretty sure no one wants to be carrying soggy paper around with them! Milestone Studios will be open on Saturday for you to come and collect your dried paper. If you can't get there then, let me know and we'll arrange an alternative. Teas, coffees and soft drinks will be provided, but if you'd like to make a night of it and bring a bottle of something nice then please feel free to do so.
