Mellor Primary School after school art club

After school art club at Mellor Primary School runs from the end of the school day until 4:30. These sessions are run by local artist Pippa Hicks, who has several years of experience running after school art clubs in local schools and from her workshop in New Mills (Arts-Co).

These sessions are for KS2 children only at the moment, and groups sizes will remain limited to just 12 children to start with. We will explore a range of techniques and subjects throughout the term, and regularly tie in our topics with local events or school projects (at other art clubs we've been involved in creating decor for The Tent People, event posters for the One World Festival, Christmas trees for Lyme Park etc).

All materials are supplied (including aprons!) and children may bring healthy snacks to have at the start of the session.

Pippa has an enhanced DBS check and Level 3 paediatric first aid as well as Safeguarding training.
